I refuse to let my ten lost years be for nothing. I cannot change my past, but I can use my voice to change the future for the next generation of girls. No one should have to spend a decade begging to be believed.
Here is how I am turning my pain into advocacy:
- Sharing the raw truth: I will use this blog and my social media to speak openly about the messy, painful, and often ignored realities of Endo.
- Educating young women: I am partnering with local health organizations to bring menstrual health education into schools so teenagers know the difference between a normal period and a medical crisis.
- Demanding medical change: I am writing to lawmakers and supporting foundations that fund Endometriosis research and push for better physician training.
If you are reading this and you are still in your own decade of waiting: do not give up. Keep fighting, keep switching doctors, and know that I am fighting right alongside you.
